Larry Dean Greer, of Belknap, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at his home surrounded by his beloved chow chows, Cheyenne and Molly. These girls were the love of his life. Larry remained single and dedicated his entire life to taking care of his parents and the family farm. He was born in Belknap on May 12, 1959, the son of James W. and Vera Irene (Story) Greer.Larry had a love for the outdoors and animals, which was brought out by his Native American Heritage of which he was very proud.Larry raised cattle and white-tailed deer on the farm. He retired from Laborers Local #773, which he had been a member of since 1984. This was seasonal work which fit perfectly into his lifestyle; it gave him the freedom to work on the farm and spend time enjoying the outdoors.Larry's main hobby was spending time in the Cache River swamp and forest where he taught his nieces and nephews to shed hunt and about the habits and habitats of wild animals.
